Corned Beef & Cabbage

My Story

We don’t really have many holiday traditions and the corned beef with cabbage is a family staple in our family gathering during the holidays. Food always tastes better when prepared by my mother.

Recipe

Total Preparation Time: 5mins

Total Cooking Time: 60mins


Ingredients

1 Corned beef (3-4 pounds) from Costco (They have regular beef or Wagyu)

6 c Water (This is just an estimate, just make sure there’s enough water to cover the beef

brisket

1 Seasoning packet that come with the Costco corned beef

1-2 Cabbage

5-6 Carrots


Method

1. Place corned beef in instant pot

2. Add water to cover the beef

3. Use “Manual” setting and set to 60 minutes

4. After venting, remove the corned beef from pot, set it aside and cover with Foil. Leave

the beef juice in the instant pot

5. Cut the cabbage and peel the carrots

6. Add the carrots and Cabbage in the instant pot

7. Select “Manual” setting and set time to 6 minutes

8. Release pressure and wait for instant pot to vent

9. Slice the corned beef and serve the vegetables on the side

Tips/Pointers

  • You can add onion to make it sweeter / add potatoes if you like
